Which apps on the Google Play store are the safest to connect my credit cards to so I can auto track expenses? Is Mint still okay? By safe I mean secure. Thank you!

I’ve been using Mint for years with no security issues. Their app keeps getting worse and worse, but it still does the job, and I’ve never had any unauthorized charges.

You Need a Budget is great, though it may be does a little more than you need it to.

Like Teadog we too use You Need a Budget (YNAB) and it's great. The only, rather minor downside I've found is that sometimes I want to change the Payee from what YNAB automagically supplies because we categorize something a little differently, and the Android app won't let me copy and paste that field, so I use the web version on our computer to do that (usually just a couple of times a month).

Mint is owned by Intuit, and they’re a large tech company that also handles tax info for a large proportion of Americans. There is no silver bullet, but given that any breach from them would result, at minimum, in a very unpleasant day for the C-suite in the Capitol, they have a very strong impetus to ensure that their systems are secure.

Mint is also slowly upgrading the connections between them and the banks, using a new token-based authentication rather than directly passing through credentials. You can also set up your account on a PC via a browser, then log into that account via the app.
