ticketing and online support for a conference

I'm on the organizing committee for an in-person conference that will be held next year, and we'll need to sell tickets. I'd also like to have web pages for each session where speakers can distribute materials and participants can talk about it. I seek your suggestions for conference ticketing and online presence.
Eventbrite seems like the default ticketing service, but I have no allegiance to them. I was a participant at a conference that used Pathable for conference information, but I haven't been able to get them to send me a quote, so to hell with them. I'm comfortable with Wordpress, and have seen that there is a WooCommerce "box office" extension, and there are numerous conference-oriented plugins for WP. I'd appreciate y'all's advice for and against the various options out there.

We use the Indico system for building academic conference websites including ticketing. It's pretty versatile and not complicated to use:

Not sure if this would fit your budget, but my org recently used Whova for this and it went over very well with the attendees.
