Random Music Clips Source?

Is there somewhere I can find a set of random music clips of different genres, say 3-10 seconds in length, arranged in one place, in long form? Like a 10-60 minute-long Youtube video with one clip immediately after the other, for example?

As another example of the type of thing I'm looking for, this might be something you'd play for aliens with ADHD who told you they want to hear a huge set of "music humans made". They don't care about depth, but rather mainly breadth of samples, and they want to listen. Thanks!

Best answer: The first thing I thought of are those old compilation album TV commercials. For instance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6daUbnmqFow

I suppose those will tend to be of a single genre, but there are lots of them! My YouTube search.

Best answer: You might want to check out the DJ Girl Talk. He mashes up and layers all kinds of samples from a pretty wide array of artists. He has multiple full length albums so there are probably several hours worth of his tracks on YouTube

Best answer: It's fairly poppy but the plunderphonics work of John Oswald may be exactly what you're looking for.

Best answer: I had a project I called ADHDHD that’s this. It’s an hour plus long but the samples tend to be longer than 3-10 seconds if you count that they loop at times. I sampled classic rock, folk, hip hop, electronic dance, disco, classical, jazz, and some other random things. If you want to DM me I can send you a link to download it all.

Best answer: Sporcle is a trivia website, and they have a whole subcategory for music clip quizzes - i.e. you guess a bunch of songs from short clips.

There's no need to actually play the quizzes, you can just play the music. The clips are streamed from Bandcamp or some similar site, exactly what you describe, a long file composed of a bunch of several-second clips back-to-back.

Of course many of the quizzes are in specific genres, but you can find some that cover a broader range.

There are lots of these on YouTube, like you said:

Top 100 Most Recognizable Songs of All Time

Billboard top 50 of last week

Music of Memes

Disney songs

Etc. etc.

If you want to use some, it may be easier to buy the music as loop packs, as those would be licensed to be used in your own videos or game projects. They are usually quite cheap, when sold via HumbleBundle or Fanatical.com.
