My PDF document has disappeared

I filled it out and signed it and it tells me its no longer available.

Well I guess it;s a good thing I gave myself a couple extra days! I'd also updated PDF/Adobe/ and some odd things started happening (Chrome icons where there was something else before). So I guess I'll be getting rid of that.

Here's what I'm trying to do: download form from web, fill out, sign, return. It really does seem like it should be simple, but it really does seem to be gone, which makes no sense to me.
It can be in word or pdf so if there is any easier way to sign it than adobe OR DocuSign, sing out please.

Computer savvy: 2 out of 5.

Thanks.

Response by poster: Sorry, it's back. But now it wants me to trial in order to switch to a word---probably with a credit card.
Experts, PLEASE tell there is an easier way to down load, print, sign and attach to an email. This is really making me nuts.

Are you using acrobat reader or pro? Sometimes I just use an image of my signature to sign.

Is that a Docusign thing?

Generally, Docusign requires you to sign and return in 48 hours, IIRC. You will need to request the sender to redo the document.

And Docusign is very aggressive in its reminders to get you to register.

(Chrome icons where there was something else before).

This sounds like at some point your computer decided it had no dedicated PDF software so it associated those files with chrome. On a PC you would force it to use your PDF software by right clicking the file and selecting "open file with...", though if it still doesn't recognize your adobe as a pdf-opener for some reason, you will have to dig through program files to find it.

Tbh once you have set up a docusign account, it is much easier to use than adobe for signing things, but yes as kschang says, you have limited time to sign, and also be sure to follow only the link from the original email - if you try to follow it from a response or forward it won't work (I have no idea how they pull that off!). And also echoing bwonder that just using an image of your signature may be sufficient, and once you have one you could drop it in using the insert picture function in Word.

Try Foxit PDF Reader.
https://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf-reader/

I've been using the free version and filling out live PDF's is so easy.

Most libraries have a pdf tool; some of the free ones are annoying on purpose to make you spend. For stuff like this, my library is great.

Response by poster: Now it shows up as a link: which my recipient says she could see. (I'm wading blindfolded in the night here). I will try foxit as well.
