Yesterday, everything was fine ...

I've used Duck Duck Go and Firefox for months ... years, with no problem. But two days ago, I updated Firefox. Since then, it won't take me anywhere. It just gives me a blank screen whenever I click any of my bookmarks or type them directly.
I uninstalled/reinstalled Firefox. Turned the computer off and on. I've deleted programs, like Adobe Premier, (it was giving me problems last month as I was finishing a huge project. In fact, as of yesterday, a process called ElementsAutoAnalyzer was taking up huge chunks of memory, so I kept having to "End Task", thinking that was the problem). I've also end tasked multiple versions of Firefox that were running but taking me nowhere. I've tried to set a system restore point before I was having problems (though the PC won't complete that b/c it keeps saying an anti-virus program won't let me set it). Now, I'm down to using Chrome, but I have to reset all of my bookmarks (I have dozens). Why, oh why is this happening? And is there anything I can do, beyond what I've already done, to fix it?

The first step for resetting Firefox is to type "about:support" in the URL bar - you can also get there through the Help -> More Troubleshooting Information menu options - and click the "refresh" button in the upper right.
That solves the great majority of Firefox problems; if it doesn't, you're welcome to memail me.

Firefox acts strangely for me sometimes when it has downloaded an update but not installed it yet. Help/About will show you if it wants to restart and update.
