Response by poster: Oh never mind. I see it more clearly now. I thought he had some kind of tool in the paint bucket

Best answer: It looks to me like a paint can and a brush or palette knife.

Best answer: It's hard to see in the first photo because his clothes are black, and the paintbrush and half the paint can are covered in black paint. Several other photos in the album like this one show the brush more clearly. (Press the semi-transparent arrow button near the right edge of the photo to advance through the album.)
