What is this socket on an Australian (NSW) police vest?

At a BLM rally in Sydney yesterday the police standing nearest to me were wearing vests that had a large empty circular plastic socket on them. Does anyone here have any idea what that's for? You can see it in this picture from an unrelated news story.

It looks like a socket where they plug themselves in to recharge, or to get their orders downloaded, Matrix style, but I'm guessing that probably isn't it. I thought maybe it's a place where they can attach a body camera, but I've seen pictures of cops wearing those and they seem quite a bit smaller than this socket thing.

Best answer: It's a taser mount. Sorry to link to the Tele.

Specifically, the Blackhawk Quick Disconnect System, or a knockoff.
