Seeking Jib-Jab & Jacquie Lawson's bastard child

I love the idea of Jib-Jab but hate the execution. Does anyone offer something that is similar but not designed by college frat-boys?
My kids love Jib-Jab. I've enjoyed them a couple of times. But whenever I go to the site I end up looking through template after template and just being frustrated that they are all so stupid and just wrong.
Now, I know something like that by its nature is supposed to be dumb. I understand that. But it should be dumb in the right way, and funny in the right way, and Jib-Jab just misses the mark almost all of the time.
One example of their cluelessness. I wanted to send a Mothers Day Card. What does mom want to see? Pictures of her kids, of course, and her grandkids. But Jib-Jab thinks that Mothers Day Cards are only supposed to have one character: the mother, doing stupid things showing how horrible it is to be a mother. Sorry, that's not the funny card I want to send my mom.
Why mention Jacquie Lawson? Well, that's at the other end of the spectrum. In contrast to Jib-Jab it is very well executed, but it's too Hallmark, too church lady, not funny enough, and doesn't allow enough customization.
What I really want is Jib-Jab, where I can drop in faces of my family and friends and have them put into a silly animation that I can send to people. Like Jib-Jab. But done well.
Does that exist?
