Does Anyone Remember a Website of Popular Software?

A handful of years ago there was a (seemingly) popular website where users could share the software they were running on their computers. They had a client program you could download which would scan your computer and show you everything that it found and then you had an option to upload the data into the larger database.
You could then browse the website and discover new games or productivity programs or system utilities that you'd never heard of before but were popular with others. After a couple of years they took the website down and I'm pretty sure the proof of concept was rolled into a commercial product.
The name is on the tip of my brain but I can't seem to percolate it up. I feel like it had double letters in the name like Kaboom or Hoopla or something like that? Does anyone else remember this website or service?

Best answer: I looked at your links but could not find it. But after almost a week of thinking I finally remembered it. The site was called Wakoopa and it was really, really cool. I need to dig around and see if something similar ever rose up to take it's place. Thanks for your answer!
