What do I put in this box?

I'm filling out a Statement of Identity form as part of the title process while buying a new house. There's a box on the form that looks like this: "My signature can be verified by: ___________________" What should I write in the box?

I have no idea what I should put. My wife? My mom? The state voter registration people? The DMV? By appointment only?

Any real estate / title people know what they're looking for here?

Ask your loan officer or realtor? I don't remember that one.

I take this as a place for a sample that will be used to verify other signatures in the future.

Could you text either your mortgage broker or your realtor? I doubt these people would mind answering an easy question midday on Saturday if it makes it more likely a deal will close.

Best answer: Your bank.

Isn't this a reference to the notary's stamp, if the document is notarized?

Response by poster: Turns out it’s my employer or bank. But they want a two year history, so bank it is.
