Name that short film about salsa/tango/ballroom dancing!

This is a long shot but... I'm trying to find a short documentary from the 90s (maybe earlier) about how salsa dancing (possibly tango, possibly even just generic ballroom dancing) changed the lives of an oddball group of characters.

Here's what I remember:

- It must have shown on cable back in the 90s (HBO? Showtime? Bravo?)
- It could be black & white
- All of the characters were "damaged" in some way (former drug addict, illness, accident, etc.) and found salvation through dance
- One character was a "goth girl"
- Another might have been elderly
- The visual style was very formal (straight on angle, wide shots, symmetric)
- There wasn't any/much dancing per se

Basically, it's a talking head documentary, but each character talks about how dance completely changed their lives.

Would anyone remember what the heck I'm talking about??

Response by poster: Thanks folks... but as you probably know, it's none of these. This is a short film, made before 2000 (probably). I did check all "dance" short films on IMDB, and couldn't find it there either... It either was not categorized as such, or... somehow it no longer exists. 😟
