Boat Papers Please

I've got a boat with a dutch registration number. Is there somewhere I can search on that number to find historic details of my boat?

If it helps the number is 2307624 and it was called Neeltje when it was last in Amsterdam.

I'd ask this question on one of the Bluewater cruisers forums. There is almost definitely a way to do this and those folks will know.

A bit over two decades ago I was involved with boat registration in Canada. It was done by hand and the papers were filed in cabinets. I can only assume that things have become more efficient, but it's unlikely that the records existing before digital would be moved over. It's very likely that your quest will involve hands shuffling through dusty paper - slow and/or expensive.

Response by poster: For closure, I eventually located a database of Dutch boats here.

I managed to find where and when it was built, who owned it and a fair bit in between.
A small selection of which is listed here.
