How to reset a wireless access key without original computer?

My computer's hard drive died, taking my wireless access key with it. Unfortunately, I don't have a hard copy of it. Is there a way to re-set my wireless network's access settings without the original computer?

I just purchased one of the new MacIntels and would like to get it up and running this evening without having to purchase a new wireless router, and I'm afraid my computer is going to ask me for the access key. Thanks, all.

Best answer: Sure, depends what router you have on how you do it though.

Try googling your router brand name and the word reset.

Probably includes sticking a pin in something or holding down a button.

If your googling doesn't pan out the odds are good your AP maker has the manual online. For the future might I suggest a post-it or labelmaker?

I could be misunderstanding something here, but when you say wireless key I assume you mean the password (hex key) that is typed into both your router / wireless access point and to your (now dead) PC. This allows your PC to get wireless access through that device.

All you need to do is surf to the admin page of your router / wireless access point and set a new key. To get to the admin page of this device you don't need to be wireless, you can go over your wired network.

Apologies in advance if I have misread the situation.
