Who was this black, female jazz trumpeter

At 2:13 in this Timeline video posted to Facebook, there's some stock footage of a black woman playing trumpet in a jazz band. Does anyone know who she is? The credit says "Prelinger Archives" but I don't get anything back from reverse images searches. I don't have a sound ID app handy, but maybe that would turn up the recording. I'm curious, because I've never heard of any female jazz trumpeters from that era. Possibly Valaida Snow?

Best answer: Patience & fortitude song returns Valaida Snow as first hit on YouTube. It's her singing and playing trumpet.

Response by poster: Oops, should have watched to the end of this clip (or maybe I'd just thought they'd switched tracks). Thanks!
