I want diy, but not a do-it-myself

I have great ideas for weird and interesting projects, some involving programming, others involving things like adafruit For example, with adafruit, is there a service where I can basically design what I want something to do, but the components and contract out someone to build it for me? I realize this goes against some of the DIY ethos, but I have limits and desires.

I would suggest visiting a local maker lab and asking - someone may be looking for a cool project to work on.

Yep, a local hackerspace is the place to go. Your public library might have a maker space in it too.

Nth local hacker space. I'd do it, if you were local.

Arduino.cc has a board for gigs and help wanted: http://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?board=26.0

Fiverr.com might be useful.
