New Bluetooth, same as the old tooth?

I recently picked up a Nexus 6 and am looking for a good stereo Bluetooth headset to go with it.

A long time ago I had a Plantronics Voyager 855 which I loved very much. Sadly, my dog saw fit to chew it into pieces, so I've been going without since. Sadly, they don't seem to make a more modern version that supports all the new Bluetooth features with the same form factor.

Basically, I'd like a lightweight, unobtrusive set with good battery life and sound quality for both calls and music. I definitely prefer the in ear variety without a headband, but I do want music controls. I'd like to keep it under $100, but I'll go higher for a great set. What are my options?

Best answer: I recently bought LG Tone HBS-750 Wireless Smartphone Bluetooth headphones and I love them. The neckband style is unobtrusive and I've been really surprised how well they work with my phone (I have an HTC, however I also use them with my iPad and iMac without a problem, so I imagine they would work with a Nexus). The sound quality is excellent.

Not to threadjack, but, Oclipa, do you know how well the Tone handle multi-device hand-off? If you're watching a movie from your ipad, and you receive a call on your phone, does the movie pause, allow you to answer the call, and then still work when you restart audio from the iPad?

palionex: to be honest, I hadn't tried two devices at the same time before, however I have just tried it now and it seems to work fine: the movie on the ipad pauses when the call is answered on my phone, and then restarts when I finish the call.

Best answer: I use the LG Tone HBS-750 Wireless Smartphone Bluetooth headphones as well, and love them. I use them almost continuously for 8-10 hour days and repower overnight. I haven't wanted to be without them for the better part of two years.

Response by poster: I ended up getting the Tone Pro. Turns out I don't even notice the neck band. My only complaint is that a short press of the call button opens the voice dialer and not Google Now.

Time to see what can be done about that, I suppose. ;)
