Photo Printing in Chicago

In NYC I'd get photo prints made at the 117th Costco, which had better quality (and yes, ICC profiles are available) than some of the photolabs where I've worked. Looking for my options in Chicago.
I'm near Devon and Western, and rely on public transit. I want photo-chemical prints, not a thermal or inkjet output, so the Target is out, and the nearby Walgreen's is a possibility. Costco seems to be a long trek. Any independent labs? Any chain store locations worth going to?
Also I'm interested in recommendations and warnings about Pro labs here, and B/W darkroom rentals.
