Bars in downtown Minneapolis

Can you recommend a bar in Downtown Minneapolis?

I'm hosting a meetup (for work) on Monday the 5th of August. I need to find a bar that can accommodate 30 people (we don't all have to sit together) for a late happy hour (630ish). Most folks will be in town for a conference and no one will have cars so it'll have to be within reasonable walking distance of the convention center area.

Beer only is ok. Any suggestions?

The Local is pretty good and I think they have a space you can reserve.

Best answer: Brit's and The Local are the go-to places I recommend for people nearby the convention center (for large gatherings, anyway). I think Brit's has a few different sections you could reserve too.

Butcher and the Boar allows you to reserve the patio.

I've actually used Gluek's for this as well, and usually isn't crazy busy.

Although the abovementioned places are good if you can get the area reserved for that many.
