Does anyone know of any bars in Minneapolis that have wireless internet? Big plus if they're located downtown.

Response by poster: Thanks T, but we're looking for a happy hour-type bar where we can do shots everytime Janeane Garofalo says "anti-intellectualism" on Air America. (see what you're missing back in MN)

Man. I'm a Minneapolis person, but I have no clue. But I just want to say I'm not much of a bar person, but I am a drinking girl, so a good bar + wireless internet might be my dream world.

Rock Bottom (9th + Hennepin) has wireless. That sounds like it's your best bet, short of finding a bar that "accidentally" has wireless intruding into the premises.

mill city cafe in northeast minneapolis - in the california building is open late and serves anything from beer to whiskey on the rocks. there is another restaurant/bar on about 14th and nicollet (can't remember the name) - kind of a lame joint though ... i bet you can get on an open network at runyons and cafe havana as well, if you have a good wireless card.

From what I understand, surfthing.com offers wireless access at many locations. Looking closer, it looks like most of the non-Dunn Brothers locations are Old Chicagos. They sell shots, don't they? There's one on 1st Avenue between 6th street and 4th street somewhere. You might be able to sit next door at whatever bar it is next to Old Chicago and get access, if Old Chicago isn't your scene.

Also, can I come and just do the shots? ;)

Last comment, I swear. There are a ton of Dunn Brothers' downtown, find a bar next door to one. OK, I'm done.
