Summer Wedding In Charleston, Need fashion critiques!

As the title states I've got a wedding in Charleston, SC in July. I'm planning on getting a blue seersucker jacket anyways, so I've been looking on how to put this all together. I've come up with two ensembles that I think would work best. The main differences between the two are the pants really...white pants vs blue. The shoes coordinate appropriately as white shoes/pants wouldn't really work. The shirt choices, white or pastel pink are negotiable, as is the bowtie vs regular tie. I'd likely pocket square it up as well. Opinions? I'm open to any other styles or ways to arrange it all. If it bears any relevance my girlfriend will be wearing this.

Best answer: I'd go with the white pants- y'all will already have a whole host of pastel colors and seersucker without adding the blue pants. Especially if the blue pants are as shown and almost-but-not-quite match the blue of the seersucker, which strikes me as a little awkward. I would also go with the navy tie to avoid being even more matchy with your girlfriend.

Okay, you guys are too cute for words!

I like the white pants better, have you thought about navy docksiders for the shoes? (No socks)

They'll go with the madras shorts you're wearing to the out-of-towner's dinner the night before.

I like the white pants/brown shoes - that's a great outfit. The blue pants are weirdly close to denim-colored (maybe not in person, but definitely in the picture) and also I just hate white shoes, because they always look crisp for exactly five seconds before you, say, walk on grass or a sidewalk or a patch of dirt. No thanks.

Do the regular tie. This is already a very dapper outfit - the bowtie is a little much.

I'd do white pants, white shirt, navy tie. I think the baby pink and baby blue combo is more precious than elegant.

I'd also wear nicer brown shoes than topsiders - a nice loafer.

Response by poster: @Ruthless there IS an out of towners dinner the Friday night.

I have considered Navy boat shoes, but I already own the reds. If Navy is much better I may have to purchase 'em.

Of course there is! It's the South isn't it? Reds are good, I just saw the brown ones.

I also vote for ensemble #2 (white pants) - are you sure the white bucks won't work with them? (I love bucks...)

As someone who lives in Charleston and will be getting married in Charleston (but in April)-- awesome.

I'd definitely go for #2 white pants, but go for dark tie (or dark bow tie). You'll look more coordinate, #1 is almost caricature.

If really want to go southern go for loafer socks. Outside or inside?

I agree on the navy tie, but I also love the seersucket-jacket-with-bowtie look. Any chance you can get your hands on a navy bowtie? Or a red one to match your shoes?

Bucks. Whatever else you choose, wear bucks.

Yes, the bucks. I love the bucks, and I think the white pants are a good option. And hey, bow ties are cool. Dark blue or navy bow tie?

I also vote no to the pink shirt. White shirt, maybe *maybe* the pink bow tie - but if you wear too many colors you will pass from cute to clownish. People will be too distracted to look at your face :)
