What Australian movie is this?
I saw most of this on TV earlier, but I missed the title of it. I think it takes place in Sydney and it's about a bunch of young Aussies in a band. Other details include the following: the main character is named Freddy, who appears to work in a record shop; much of the movie revolves around them trying to get enough money to make a demo tape; at some point they accidentally take liquid LSD while they're all eating dinner with one band member's parents; in an effort to show his girlfriend he's responsible, one character adopts a melon and begins treating it like a real child; and in the end they all realize they suck but, hey, that's okay.

I was going to suggest Dogs In Space, but obviously that was just a completely off guess.
