Does the AC adapter that allows a 3G iPod to be plugged into the wall to be recharged also work with the iPod mini?

My daughter now has an iPod mini, but unlike my older DadPod, the mini did not come with an adapter. The connector receptacle at the bottom accepts it, so that suggests to me that it will work with both. I would like to confirm that, though, before we go ahead.

Yes, all dock connectors are compatible with each other.

The 3G iPod came with the M8636LL/A. The current AC adapter is the M8636G/C. In the Apple product code scheme, the letters at the end indicate country and revision. Therefore if the main numbers are the same, it pretty much always indicates the same product in different packaging.

Yes - I use my old 3G charger with my mini iPod.
