Come for the meeting, stay for the candy.

A long shot: Where can I get some of the candy that the Intercontinental Hotel uses in their meeting rooms?
It's been a while since I've been there, but a few years back, I was at a meeting at the Intercontinental Hotel (in Atlanta, if it matters). On all of the tables in the meeting, they had bowls of small fruit-flavored candies - they were individually wrapped discs, maybe 1/3 - 1/2 inch in diameter, and assorted fruit flavors. Most importantly, they tasted REALLY REALLY good.
Where could I look to try and find that candy for my own use? There was no brand name that I could find on the wrappers, but I recall the wrappers being primarily white with green accents.

Best answer: I think I know the kind of tiny wrapped hard candies you're talking about--I am pretty sure they're Italian "caramelle" (no resemblance to the English "caramel" other than both being sweet). They had little bowls of them everywhere when we were in Italy. But I know you can get them in North America--when I lived near an Italian neighbourhood in Vancouver, all the cheese shops/delis sold tidy little cellophane bags of these exact same candies. If you have Italian food shops near you, I bet you'll find them. If not, you can get a brand called Glitterati online at Amazon, or through The Amish Shop (put your sunglasses on before clicking on that link, whoa).

My first thought were YummyEarth drops, which I had at the Marriott Midtown hotel in Atlanta. However, their wrappers are clear. How about these?

Best answer: These sound to me like glitterati, except those generally come in brightly colored wrappers. Maybe similar, though?

Response by poster: My memory had apparently failed me on the wrappers, but as soon as I saw the photo on hurdy gurdy girl's link, it was instant recognition. Those are the candies I remember. Thank you so much!

I totally thought you were asking about Campinos, which are also really good fruit candies, with a white wrapper.
