How best to sleep while on a layover in Frankfurt?

Best place to catch a few hours of sleep near Frankfurt airport during an 8-hour layover?

I've read this question, but hoping that I might get some different advice. I'm arriving in Frankfurt at 5am and don't fly out again until 1pm. I'd like to get home feeling as refreshed as possible and think that getting myself a room for the layover is my best bet. What are my options? Hotels near the airport? Something in the airport? And I've tried sleeping in the Lufthansa business class lounges there before. Very difficult.

My employer is paying, so I don't necessarily need the absolute cheapest option.

Best answer: It looks like the day rooms at the airport aren't available until 9 am but if you arrive there late, it might be an option . There is an email address so maybe you can ask?

I've arrived at Frankfurt at 5am and ended up staying at the Sheraton right there at the airport. The catch was I had to pay for the whole night before. But it is close and comfortable.

Response by poster: Thanks for the suggestions. Looks like the Steigelberger Airport Hotel has day rooms available from 7am onward, earlier if any are empty. Now I won't be one of the walking dead when my girlfriend meets me at the airport!
