Black Eyes Peas: Crazy?

Why are there two versions of the new Black Eyed Peas single? It (kinda) made sense to have a radio version of "Let's Get Retarded", but what's so bad about "Don't Phunk With My Heart"?

BTW, the other version's title is "Don't Mess With My Heart", and that's what they play on the radio here in CT.

Maybe they think "Phunk" is too close to "fuck"?

yeah, that's what I thought the other day when I heard the radio version for the first time. Kind of counter productive, cause as soon as I heard "don't mess with my heart" I muttered "you gotta be fucking kidding me" in the car

definitely a sad state of affairs

Response by poster: Futher intrigue: At lunch, I heard version on the radio where the line was cut to "Don't ---- With My Heart". Which makes it even worse, because your mind fills in the obscene option rather than the benign, actual one.

imagine how cheesy they must feel having to record that second version of their song.

Shminny - I'm sure it torments them all the way to the bank.

It probably torments them despite going to the bank -- this is likely the last BEP single as they seem to have decided to break up rather than deal with the continued media obsession with Fergie, who was a late addition to the group and seems to be considered, by the guys, to be undeserving of her treatment as the media magnet of the group.
