Who makes mens boots with an aluminium or lightweight toecap? - in brown would be best
also, Wolverine has their own line of composite toe boots. Here's a gallery of boots. Choose your color and make sure to check the composite toe box to see what meets your needs.

Response by poster: Thanks for the suggestions. Composite or Non-Metallic is a good idea.

Redwing boots rule - I've had my pair for 16 years, and i simply keep getting them re-soled.

I've had my Red Wing hiking boots since 1972 or '73. Just re-sole, and they're good to go. Also, my local Red Wing store oils them and replaces the laces and any damaged eyelets for free. I also have a pair Red Wing steel-toes... I won't buy any other brand of boot.

I own & reccomend Danner. Danner makes boots with a composite cap or a standard steel cap.

Read up on the "tec toe" feature. It might be what you need.
