Ragga song that the Black Eyed Peas were covering in "Get Original" (or vice versa)?

OK, I'm not 100% sure which way the quotation runs with this one, but the way these songs sound to me, I'm betting the cover/quoting song is BEP's "Get Original," specifically the line "Stop now, get original, start practicing, master your flow." The other, I'm guessing original, song is dancehall/ragga, and its chorus uses exactly the same vocal melody and rhythm, and I think even some of the same words.

I heard the song on some random Reggae radio show and didn't catch the call letters for the station. I'm guessing it's older than Bridging the Gap just because it sounds like pre-2000 dancehall music, but then I've only heard it once. Thanks!

Maybe Jurrasic 5? Get Original is on a J5 EP called Jurrasick Freestyles and Rarities, but I don't know which came first or if J5 wrote it.

Best answer: I think you'll find that melody line has been used in dozens of dancehall tracks. There's something similar in Heads High by Mr Vegas, for example, which would pre-date the Black Eyed Peas track. I think I've head something closer than that but can't place it.

Best answer: I see now that someone else agrees that Get Original sounds like Heads High, so here's a link in case it is the track you're looking for.
