Give me some musical suggestions!

I've lived through and loved lots of emo / screamo / pop-punk / post-punk what-have-you bands. Absolute favourite of the genre would be Saves the Day. But somehow, I missed Brand New. Who else did I miss?

Taking Back Sunday, but only the album Tell All Your Friends.
Cursive, The Ugly Organ.
Alkaline Trio, Maybe I'll Catch Fire.
If you haven't listened to it, old Dashboard Confessional, Swiss Army Romance, back when it was actually just him and a guitar.
The Get Up Kids, Something to Write Home About.
Back then, I like The Movielife's This Time Next Year, but it hasn't fared so well on recent listens, YMMV.
Hot Rod Circuit, If I Knew Now What I Knew Then and/or If It's Cool With You, It's Cool with Me
The Anniversary, Designing a Nervous Breakdown
Midtown, but only Save the World, Lose the Girl
Thursday, Full Collapse
Rx Bandits, Halfway Between Here and There and Progress

Note that, since I'm not sure what you've heard and what you haven't, I'm basically just naming my favorite albums from high school, when I looooooved Brand New (Saves the Day less, but they were definitely in the same genre of the other stuff I listened to.)

Also recommending Thursday's Full Collapse. That was my angry, depressed teenage soundtrack.

Thrice
Murder by Death - softer sounding than you might want, but still awesome
Horse the Band - This is really the only song worth listening to by them.

If you like Alkaline Trio, you should really check out The Lawrence Arms and Falcon. TLA is made of a couple members of the same ska band the bassist from Alkaline Trio, and the Falcon was a kind of post-Slapstick supergroup kind of thing. Alkaline Trio seems to be a bit more bleakly depressing, TLA has a lot of good self-deprecating humor to go along for the ride. Good stuff.

I don't know the bands you cite but my favorite Hardcore band who most consider emo is Shotmaker--another track.

Best Canadian band of the 90s, imo.

J Church. Their best stuff isn't really on YouTube, but "Panama", at least, is one of my favorites.

Panama
Waiting on the Ground
I Can't Be Nice To You
Bottom Rung

(RIP Lance Hahn.)

If you like newer Brand New you might like The Appleseed Cast, mewithoutyou, Say Anything, Manchester Orchestra, The Sleeping and Jettison. You mentioned some of my favorite subgenres too, so I'll just throw in some of the AWESOME stuff I've been listening to lately (both old and new bands)... Polar Bear Club, Iron Chic, Latterman, Amanda Woodward, Mesa Verde, Young Livers, Bear vs. Shark, Sister Kisser, Shorebirds, Wax Phantom, Make do and Mend, Glass and Ashes... Message me if you want more suggestions. I'm really into this stuff.

It's been about 5 years (?) since their last album and I just can't ever get over them.

Oh wow, I'm reliving college reading through this.

Thursday
Thrice
RX Bandits
Yellowcard (especially One for the Kids)
The Matches
Against Me!
Anti-Flag
The Juliana Theory
The Get Up Kids
Cursive
Jimmy Eat World (you probably didn't miss them, but just in case...)
The Starting Line
Something Corporate
Senses Fail

I'm still thinking about this question... A good resource for music of this kind is sputnikmusic, though they cover the gamut of genres, they have extensive reviews and suggestions for the type of music you're looking for. I've discovered quite a few bands through this site.
I also wanted to list a few more bands you might like; Broadway Calls, Comadre, Dead to Me, Fall of Troy (Doppelganger), Planes Mistaken for Stars, The Saddest Landscape, Small Brown Bike and The Gaslight Anthem.

Say Anything "... is a Real Boy" is simply fantastic if you haven't heard it. The production work elevates it beyond most things in the genre in my book (I used to listen to a lot of this genre and now mostly only Brand New and Say Anything).

Jawbreaker/Jets to Brazil/any of Blake Schwarzenbach's music
Chuck Ragan's solo stuff
Definitely recommend Alkaline Trio's discography including the Skiba solo stuff with the exception of Crimson which was a terrible album (IMO)
