Help me pick a great tv.

Where can I find authoritative reviews of flat screen tvs?

Can anyone recommend source or series of sources where I can find "objective" reviews of flat screen tvs, or at least authoritative ones.
My Google Fu is turning up a lot of Astroturfed content, and a lot of way too old content.

So I am looking for a few source that can help guide me, and ensure I make the right decision as far as my new flatscreen tv.

I am looking for a unit that is around 50-60 inches, and has great image quality. I am leaning towards a Led based tv, over plasma due to some of the things I have read already.

I am not really interested in a "3D" tv.

Digital Advisor breaks down TVs by size, type, price and manufacturer with unbiased reviews.

Consumer Reports? I think you have to subscribe in order to access their reviews (that's their sole source of money to pay for it all) but they have a good reputation for being objective.

Seconding AVSforum.com. Several helpful threads with guides and plenty of up to date information

It's UK-based, but I think What Hi-Fi Sound and Vision is a pretty authoritative. I've used it to buy or recommend to others TVs and it hasn't failed me yet.

Consumer Reports, as long as you are not asking about iPhone 4 performance. I used CR when shopping for my HDTV and bought a Samsung 46" LED. I'm very happy with the results.

CNET

I was generally able to find a review of at least one model of most product lines, though some of their reviews are a bit dated.

+1 for CNET.com, for both editor reviews and general public/user opinions.

http://flatpanelshd.com/reviews.php

Two things I like about this review site: 1. Serious geeky reviews, long and detailed and 2. Reviews are for desktop and home theater flat panels.
