News/information for creative people

What are the best news or link sites for writers/creative people?
Which sites are best for news, reviews, interviews and generally interesting information for people involved in creative work? I'm specifically thinking of writers, but open to any discipline. I can find lots through Google, but am looking for Hive recommendations.
I'm thinking of sites like Hacker News / MetaFilter / BoingBoing / Kottke but with a creative focus rather than tech or general interest. (I'm not looking for forums where writers critique each other's work.)
I'm finding it a bit hard to believe this hasn't been asked already, but if it has I can't find it.
Thanks!

Best answer: Steven Pressfield, author of the excellent War of Art, has a blog series called Writing Wednesdays that I consistently find inspirational.
Merlin Mann's 43 Folders is always awesome. He's a great thinker on creative matters, he's genuine, and he never does weak, spammy posts to up his page views.

I like ArtsJournal. I get the daily email, but the website is even more in-depth.
