I want you so bad it's my only wish

Need help with identifying a half-sample of some eighties female vocalist, as echoed in a BEP single.

In the semi-recent song "Meet Me Halfway" by the Black-Eyed Peas (yes, I know), Fergie has a bit of verse at 1:20 in:
I can't go any further than this
I want you so bad it's my only wish
This, especially the "I want you so bad" part, really feels like it's echoing some vocal line from somewhere that I can't place at all. I googled around and found people that agree with me but no answers. Help?

[note: this is specifically asking about the vocal line sample; I'm aware of the bits taken from Cyndi Lauper, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and The Killers.]

it reminds me of Bizarre Love Triangle by New Order, specifically the line about a minute in "You say the words that I can't say".

Response by poster: acidic: It's almost definitely a female vocalist.

hal_c_on: Heart's song emphasizes the 'so bad' while the line I'm remembering emphasizes the 'want' and lengthens the 'I.'

Is it Tell It To My Heart, by Taylor Dayne? That;s what the melody really reminds me of.
