Seems to say we're disconnected...

I am trying to revive a BCM2003 database from the mdf and ldf files. Crashed laptop had XP SP3 and Outlook+BCM 2003, new laptop has Win7 and Outlook+BCM 2007. The database does not connect.
I first read this, which did not make the bugger budge. Then I read this, which got me up to the point where SQL Server tries to connect but can't because it gets Operating system error 5: Access denied. I am connecting with Local System, which has full rights to the relevant files and folders (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Business Contact Manager\mydatabase.mdf and ldf). In the Security tabs of those files, there is another user SQLServer2005MSSQLUser$$MSSMLBIZ which also has full access. I'm stumped. And kind of tired of it after a week of spending every night on this.
Help? Please?

Also, when you say you're connecting with Local System, is that the account that the SQL Server Express service instance is running under? Given the script from the second link, the SQL service account will need permission to the physical MDF and LDF files to process them.

Response by poster: Brak, thanks for looking into it.
Well, yes, I think the SQL Server is running under that account. Will double check that tonight, as well as the permissions, which I think are modify/read/write for all users.
