please recommend a tattoo parlor in Hamilton, Ontario*

*or burlington or saint catharines....

i'm getting my first, and my wife has many, I want to surprise her with a tattoo "gift certificate" for Christmas... she'll do something simple with words and mine is my own design and is very simple (like really really simple... plus i am open to having it redone in nearly any fashion) so hopefully this info helps shape the recommendation.

Best answer: i've never been tattooed in Hamilton or Burlington, but i got 4 of my tattoos in St. Catharines.

i went to Lucky 13 on St. Paul Street (downtown St. Catharines). their website is here. they have another location in Niagara Falls, but i've never been there.

the guy who tattooed me, Mikey, is awesome. his name isn't on the website, but i'm pretty sure he's still there (i took a friend to get a tattoo there about a month and a half ago and Mikey did it). he is excellent. after my first tattoo by Mikey, i decided to make Lucky 13 my go-to shop.

there's another guy who tattoos at the St. Catharines shop - he did a friend's tattoo when Mikey wasn't there - but he's not exactly the friendliest guy.

Best answer: i got both of my tattoos at sinkin ink on hess st. in hamilton. it was a few years ago now so unfortunately i don't remember names, but the guy who did it was very nice and made me feel comfortable, which was great (i was pretty nervous). i would send my friends there. cash only, FYI.

Best answer: Cottage 13 at King and Caroline, sayeth my sweetie, who has several examples of their work. The owner is a stickler for running a professional establishment and the artwork is great.
