Looking for Minnesota Grocery Delivery or Food Baskets

My parents are going to Minnesota for a hospital procedure and my mom will be staying there in a hotel for an indeterminate amount of time. I'd like to send some food over there for when she arrives -- any ideas for local or great online resources?

I'm looking for either an online grocer who would deliver to the hotel or someplace online or local that could put together a really great fruit/food basket. Any thoughts on what and how I could send something over would be great. They'll be staying in Rochester.

CobornsDelivers (nee SimonDelivers) appears to have Roch highlighted on their service area map.

If so, they're highly recommended.

I will second unixrat on this, again assuming that Coburns includes Rochester in their service area. We used their predecessor company (Simon) last year when a similar situation led us to rely on delivery services. Or, Lunds grocery stores would likely offer a bigger and better selection, depending again on whether they deliver in Rochester (70-75 miles south of the Twin Cities; there may be a Lunds store there too). Otherwise I would be surprised if the Mayo Clinic couldn't provide information on this sort of topic given how many visitors they have in town for tests and procedures.

Best wishes!

Response by poster: Good idea, Rain Man, on calling up the clinic. Coburns looks good and I'll see if they really deliver in that area. My fruit basket search was coming up with nothing -- it's either all fruit, all nuts or all coffee -- so a grocer would be best.

Sadly, the zip code checker on the Lunds/Byerlys site says they don't deliver to 55901.

(But it was a good idea.)

And sorry to be a total downer, but I don't think that southernmost blob on the Coborn's map is Rochester; looks more like something in the Owatonna or Northfield area.

Best answer: Best contact at Mayo Clinic is probably their concierge services.

Best answer: Hey...according to their website, the Hy-Vee store delivers.

A local grocery store that delivers: although they look pretty old school and their website is primitive, they also seem to display a full-service attitude that if you contacted them I suspect an individual would engage your problem and get the job done.

Response by poster: Yay -- more answers! Coburns does not deliver in that area and had no good suggestions for me (really?) -- I'll follow up on the others....

Response by poster: The Mayo clinic concierge got back to me with the Hy-Vee suggestion and I'm working on an order now. Thanks all!
