Can any Hindi speakers out there translate this song?

It is a song by Suresh Wadkar entitled Seene Mein Jalan. Here are the lyrics, but I am not certain if they are correct. The song is from the 1978 Bollywood film Gaman.

seene mein jalan aankhon mein tufaan saa kyon hain ?
is shahar mein har shaks pareshaan saa kyon hain ?

dil hain to, dhadakane kaa bahaanaa koee dhoondhe
patthar kee tarah beheesa-o-bejaan saa kyon hain ?

tanahaee kee ye kaunasee, manzil hain rafeekon
taa-hadd-ye-najar yek bayaabaan saa kyon hain ?

kyaa koee nayee baat najar aatee hain hum me
aaeenaa humei dekh ke hairaan saa kyon hain ?

Best answer: One rough literal-esque translation coming up..

Burning in chest, storm in eyes, why is it like that?
In this city, every person distressed, why is it like that?

If there's heart, one searches an excuse for it to beat
Lifeless like a stone, why is it like that?

Which abode of loneliness is this, friends
Why only desert as far as the eye can see?

Is something new noticed within me
(that) mirror is distressed upon seeing me?

I'll just second that Gyan's literal translation is quite good.
