Another Wedding Music Question ... Groom's life song for video montage

I'm looking for a good, energetic song for the "Groom's Life" portion of a wedding video.

A friend of mine is building a video montage for another friend's wedding.

The Songs on the Video So Far ...

Bride: Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison
Friends: You've Got a Friend in Me - Randy Newman
Couple: Everything - Michael Buble

But I am stumped on the Groom's song. The video is his life in photos, childhood to present. I'm looking for a song that isn't too heavy to scare the grandparents, nor too soft to put everyone to sleep. So i'm asking if you could recommend a good "man" song for me! Thanks in advance.

"Eye of the Tiger" is the correct answer.

Is MGMT "Time to Pretend" out of the question?

Sounds like you're looking for something upbeat, bouncy and not very metal. A few songs come to mind, depending on the kind of guy this person is.

The Beatles - With A Little Help From My Friends
Nina Simone - Baby Don't Care
Simon and Garfunkel - 59th Street Bridge Song (this one's pretty short though)
also, because I'm such a dork, I'd totally have this one on MY wedding video, though other people might not find it so appropriate:
Buggles - Video Killed the Radio Star

Z Z Top's "Sharp Dressed Man" is upbeat and should be inoffensive to grandparents.

Tubthumping - Chumbawumba
Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) - Green Day
What I Like About You - Romantics
Beautiful Day - U2
Glory Days - Bruce Springsteen
Let's Hear It For The Boy - Denise Williams

Response by poster: @Hugh2d2 - Do you mean "Run Like Hell"? Looking for something a little more encouraging. I'll keep that in mind if we do a "Divorce montage video" 20 years from now.

@Hypnotic Chick - The music is good, but the lyric "let's shoot some heroin and f-ck with the stars" probably won't fly. :P Thanks though.

Van Halen -- Ice Cream Man

I had a blast with "Last Train to Trancentral by KLF" for a wedding video. The opening line "Ok, everybody lie down on the floor and keep calm" was a big hit. Ignore the video I linked to, just listen to the audio. Fun, upbeat, and a little edgy. Also, super fun to cut to if you're an editor.

Billy Joel's "You may be right" could work for the right person.

The Beatles -- In My Life
The Teddy Bears -- Cobrastyle (best of luck deciphering the lyrics, but very upbeat and lots of fun to listen to)

If you have more details on what the groom's interests are, that might help narrow it down.
