Who covered this song?

I'm looking for a specific cover/remix of "Bang bang" by Nancy Sinatra.

The version I heard had a heavy bass beat and the tempo seemed to have been sped up slightly. It was not the Audio Bullys remix. It had a kind of 'trip hop' feel.

Was it the PSM remix, used in the Kill Bill trailer?

Check here. BTW, the song was written by Sonny Bono and was originally a hit for Cher.

Response by poster: Not the PSM remix, but similar. The bass beats were more regular, and the vocals didn't quite sound like Nancy Sinatra which made me think it was a cover rather than a remix.

Response by poster: Yeah, i hit up the wiki link and checked out all the examples they list. I don't think any of them are the one.

Perhaps it's this version by Arnold T. You can find it on the Essential Collection compilation [Amazon]

Hunh. The only other version I know of is the Audio Bullys vs Paul Johnson (Get Get Down) mashup (Cheekyboy). It's definitely sped up a little, but I'm betting if you are familiar with the original Audio Bullys track you'd have described it as a definite mashup and not a cover - the tracks aren't really all that remixed.

I'd be interested to know myself!

Could it have been the Tomorrow's Children version? (This is a sixties rocksteady version.)

I've also heard the French version by Sheila...

Last try: the UNKLEsounds remix? There's also a cover version by a band called Lop-sided, which is more Portishead-like.

Response by poster: Still a negative on all those options. I had no idea there were so many versions.
