An easy to use presentation remote for Windows.

Is there a good remote control to scan through images in a windows image slideshow?

I am thinking of a product along the lines of the remote that came with my macbook that works with Front Row.

My dad is giving a presentation in a couple weeks, and would like to be able to use a remote to navigate through the images in a windows slideshow viewed on a digital projector.

He is using Windows XP.

The best solution would be very easy to implement, cheap, and reliable.

Does the displaying machine have bluetooth? If so, any bluetooth mouse should work. I like my logitech one - but it is the only one I've tried...

Response by poster: No, I don't believe that the computer has bluetooth. It is a Compaq Presario 2100 laptop, and I didn't see bluetooth capability when I searched the specs.

Response by poster: I think something like this is what I am looking for. Does anyone have any experience setting this up and using it?

Best answer: Pretty much any wireless mouse will do; I've done presentations with a standard wireless Logitech mouse (comes with a USB receiver, range of about fifteen feet) held in my hand, clicking the mouse button for new slides.

If you're looking to go a little fancier, there are wireless presenters (like this one ) widely available. You'll find something like that in the forty-dollar price range at your local big-box electronics retailer or enormomegastore.

The remote you listed is more of a full-function media center remote; while it'll do for a presentation, it's pretty serious overkill.
