Child behavioral help in NOVA/DC area?

Need advice on child psychologist or family therapist in Northern Virginia/DC area.

We have a 7 year-old son who, although doing very well in school academically, has exhibited some behavioral problems in dealing with teachers, coaches, and classmates. Our efforts at applying behavior modification techniques have met with limited success and we now think we need some outside help and guidance. Can our fellow Mefites recommend a great child psychologist/psychiatrist or family therapist in the Northern Virginia or DC Metro area? Ideally, we would find someone in the mold of Dr. Alan Kazdin, director of the Yale Parenting Center, who, among other attributes, works with the whole family and resorts to pharmaceuticals only as a last resort. We want to get to the roots of the problem, whether they be our son's or in our approach to parenting (or, more likely, both) and help our wonderful little boy to enjoy his childhood more.

You may want to check out Psychologytoday.com's Psychotherapy Directory. It has a profile on each therapist and often has links to their websites. It would be a good starting point. Good luck!
