CSI Room Services episode

Anyone know the name of the song that opened CSI (episode Room Service) last night? It was played before the "Who Are You" opening credits, and a snippet of it was also played at the end. Single vocalist, simple melody, very haunting.
Best answer: Song: Mad World (from Trading Snakeoil for Wolftickets)
Singer: probably Gary Jules
Also used in Donnie Darko and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I love the song, but was kind of upset that CSI couldn't choose something less ... used.

anastasiav and I are referring to the same song. The music was by Michael Andrews, and the vocals by Gary Jules.

I was annoyed at them using Mad World by Gary Jules because I associate it so strongly with Donnie Darko. It just didn't fit there.

Alex Parks did a cover of it as well. She may be cheesy pop fluff, but it's suprisingly haunting.

Worth noting that it's an old Tears for Fears song. I love this remake.

Response by poster: Thanks all!
What I found odd was that they didn't credit it, either on the show or on the website. Thank goodness for AskMe!

A big shout for Tears for Fears - though Gary Jules version is not bad

When I saw TFF at the Beacon theater in NYC, they made some mention about how they usually hate when people cover their tunes, but when they heard Gary Jules cover they decided from then on they'd have to do the song how he did it, and then proceeded to do just that.
One of my fave bands ever.

I like the song, but it was really annoying in the CSI episode. So was that split screen thing. I really hope that director goes away or at least stops being annoying.
