Recommendations for joke and humor websites.

Jokes and humor websites : Can you recommend some good ones? I mean belly-laugh good. What rises to the surface from a few google trawls I wouldn't inflict on anyone.

There have been a couple of good joke threads here at MeFi over the years. Here's one from 2001, though there have been other, more recent, ones also (I couldn't find 'em through Googling, but I know they're around here somewhere).

Pointless Waste of Time is one of my favorites. It has a lot of great stuff, if you're a fan of the kind of humor in which penis jokes are prevalent.

I probably found this via MeFi, but Doh, The Humanity is a collection of "Boken web pages, but in a funny way".

Recent examples: Unfortunately, this week's "Who Cares?" event - has been cancelled; woman looking for "rear" love, marriage; Lead election story provides perhaps too much personal detail; and test "About Us" page thoughtfully includes "Why Our Feet Smell".

Not everything is side-splitting, but if you like funny typo errors, proofreading snafus, and general oops! publishing moments, you'll probably enjoy it.

This has been mentioned before in the blue, but I think The 213 Things Skippy is No Longer Allowed to Do in the U.S. Army is probably the funniest thing I have ever seen on the web. I suspect it is embellished somewhat, but it's still funny as hell.

Self-proclaimed "Best Page in the Universe" is mean and negative, but makes me laugh out loud regularly.

The Black Table is always good for a laugh, especially The Black Lists.

I second PWoT. If you get past some of the more juvenile content, there's a lot of swift analysis in there. Especially see The Monkeysphere.

Also, Cockeyed. How Much is Inside is the most popular part of the site, but I much prefer the pranks. If you've ever wanted to get into pranking in a way that isn't mean, this is a good place to start.

There was an on-line 'zine called Weekly Asteroid for a while, but they got killed by their association with that damn squirrel flash. Word on the street is that they'll be back soon, so keep an ear to the ground.

Another 'zine that is only partially on-line, but worth requesting a copy is Cake or Death.

It's not intentionally funny, but whenever I go to see a movie, I check out the reviews on Plugged In from Family.org. It's really the films you wouldn't think would be objectionable being objectionable which make it worth it. The obvious ones are, well, obvious.

I also second b3ta, but not the forums, just the Newsletter.

It's not quite The Brunching Shuttlecocks, but Lore has moved on to Bandwidth Theater.

I might also humbly suggest Axes & Alleys.

konolia- I believe you. But I suspect that it is a collection of experiences from several people rather than things that happened to an individual (unless it was a Corporal Klinger-Colonel Potter type of arrangement).

The Wikipedia's bad jokes and other deleted nonsense pages - constantly growing - are uneven, but have some stuff that's wonderfully goofy.

Too late to mean anything, but I'm hurting for the lack of love for Jay Pinkerton. His News Skim comics got posted as an FPP with good reviews, he provides a lot of the good stuff to PWOT, and he's singlehandedly bringing back National Lampoon from the pit it's been in...forever, really.
