Smells like gasoline

How do you get the smell and stain of gasoline out of clothes?
Put a match to them.
Sorry. I tried so hard to resist.
Better still, here or here. (Serious advice.)

Drycleaning solvent usually does the trick for me. Few hosehold laundry products seem to touch oil or gas.
Take the clothes to a "waterless" wash laundromat. It will cost about four times the price of a regular wash, but is very effective.
