Pet friendly cabin or cottage within 3 hours of NYC?

I have two small, well behaved dogs that I'd like to be able to take out to the country with me. Anywhere w/in a 3 hour drive of NYC is fine, we just need a break from the city!

Yes, my google-fu is strong; I've found plenty of listings, soo many that I'm having trouble making a decision. Oddly, petswelcome.com didn't do as well with this request.

I'm asking because I'd like to hear from those that have actually used one that they would recommend, I rarely have an opportunity to escape and want to make sure that I make a good choice.

Optimal would include grounds that accept pets off leash (yes, of course I'll clean up) and a fireplace. We don't need anything fancy, and will consider different price points.

I randomly found on Flickr not too long ago this person, who has a trailer in the Poconos that she is offering as a pet-friendly vacation rental: http://www.flickr.com/photos/85486057@N00/sets/72157605307805203/.

La Duchesse Anne is not strictly a cabin or cottage, but they are dog friendly. We stayed there one night. The room was a tad run down and smelled like the restaurant, but the owner and staff were super nice. They built us a fire in the outdoor firepit. We didn't bring our dogs, but there was one sitting loose in the bar, so they're pretty pet friendly. Nice restaurant too.
