Historical porn? (NSFW)
April 29, 2008 11:59 AM

Where is the porn for people who like men with tights and waistcoats.

Watching John Adams, I was reminded of my old days writing naughty fan-fiction in the ilk of period movies like, Horatio Hornblower, The Patriot and Master & Commander. I did encounter one porn "Pirates" that was sort of a period-piece, but I haven't been able to find anything else. Please tell me there is reasonably acceptable porn or erotica that features men (or women!) dressed up like Horatio Nelson, Alexander Hamilton, ancient Rome...anything historical really.

You may want to check out erotic4u. They do not host full movies but there is a large collection of softer movie scenes, and they do have this, or so I have heard. Unless you know specific titles however, it is going to be very difficult to locate among the rest of the stuff. On the plus side, you can search the archive without logging in. (Definitely NSFW)

Well, I seem to remember a movie called Prisoner of Paradise made in 1980 and starring Seka. The movie is set during WW2. Not really exactly what you were looking for, but it is a period piece.

Not quite porn, but pretty close sometimes are the shows "Rome" and "Tudors" which you can now get on DVD.
I started watching Tudors for the semi-naked shots of Jonathan Rhys Meyers, but now I am legitimately into the show's plot as well.

For Roman flavor, the BBC series I, Claudius has quite a few softcore moments. And its a great series too (and an even better book.)

Don't know if it counts as "reasonably acceptable," but the bizarre, Bob Guccione-produced Caligula might be worth a look. From the review: "No film has ever tried to combine historical drama with such extreme content and the end result is perversely fascinating in segments."

Ninn Worx_SR's adaptation of the Grecian Spartans battle over the Persian Empire at Thermophylae, The Four has an expected September release date according to a recent AVN article. (Adult News Site)

It is 480 BC and the 300 elite soldiers of Leonidas have been destroyed by the Persian army. As the Grecian forces invade Sparta, four surviving Spartan widows of the 300 swear revenge for their husbands and unite to assassinate Persian God-King Xerxes.

AVN's Gallery of Behind the Scenes Pictures (nothing crazy in the gallery but it's on an adult news site)

If that wasn't what you're after Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge is expected in September as well. (news article).

(disclosure: I do work for AVN (not as an editor) but I don't work for NinnWorx_SR. I do not benefit from sales or promotion of this film. The editors at work would know lots more I'm sure but 'The Four' was the very first thing I thought of because I remembered the Ninn contract girls at the Adult Expo this year wearing their costume armor.)

Whoa, I have a friend who is in love with Alexander Hamilton and would love the stuff you've suggested...this is definitely a niche genre that needs addressing.

I'm sorry I don't have a better answer (in my porn the men are generally naked) but you might enjoy these completely safe-for-work dapper swains.

Private Films' (I think they also make the Pirates movie you found) Gladiator might be what you're looking for. I can't find the legit site, but a Google image search gives you the idea. It's actually 3 films long, and the production value it pretty high. Wikipedia says it's not a parody but a remake of the Ridley Scott movie, but I never, uh, watched it start to finish so I wouldn't know. Anyway, it seems to be widely available via torrent.

Pirates is a Digital Playground title (Shot in conjunction with Adam and Eve Pictures).

Private does has a series of several films that begin with "Pirate" but I guessed the poster was referring to Digital Playground's "Pirates" because of its popularity, recency, sales records, and awards won.

I may have guessed incorrectly. I hope that clarifies.
