Pole dancing class in New York City

I'm looking for a good pole dancing class in New York City.
I'm not interested in "cardio striptease" or any other aerobics class with a sexy name. I want to learn how to do cool tricks on a stripper pole, and I'd like to start learning those tricks in the very first class. Any suggestions?

Best answer: googling brought me to exotic dance central, which sounds awful but seems to have legit pole dancing classes.
also, if you are more interested in learning tricks than in learning to look sexy, you might be interested in circus arts/aerials (rope, trapeze). i can give you a good list of where to get started with that kind of thing if you'd like. it has some of the same appeal (builds core and upper body strength, gets you off the floor and upside down).

Response by poster: Thanks! These all look great (although a little more expensive than I had imagined- $40 a class?)

Best answer: As far as NYC Pole Dancing classes we offer drop-in $20 classes for beginner, intermediate or open classes (where you can practice tricks!) Our Head instructor, Marlo, is phenomenal & has been through circus school/acro as well as a crazy awesome performer!
