Simple 3D and 3D Text Plug-ins or Apps?

I remember a Photoshop plug-in called Typecaster that just created 3D text v. easily. I don't believe there is a version that works with OS X Leopard, so does anyone know of an app, or plug-in for Photoshop on OS X, that does that simple thing and is easy to use?

cheers.

Best answer: This seems to be a gaping hole in the plug-in universe right now. Suggest you investigate low-end stand-alone 3D software, or explore creating the text effects in Illustrator first. Here’s a tutorial on doing that.

Some around $100 Mac 3D software:
Cheetah
Carrara 3D Express
AC3D
PiXELS 3D

None will be as simple as TypeCaster was (more powerful!), but extruding type will be one of the easiest things you can do with them. And if you’ve got the Extended version of Photoshop CS3, there’ll be a lot you can do with simple imported 3D text objects.

Or if you’ve got an Intel Mac and can run Windows, there’s this.

Oops! Looks like I spoke too soon: Check out THIS amazing plug-in suite that pretty much puts a 3D application inside PS CS3 Extended.
Video demo doing some text here.
I'm getting it!
