A newsletter by any other name induces cringing...
February 14, 2008 7:51 AM

I am working on branding a newsletter that will offer love advice, statistics, and bites of information related to dating in general, online dating and relationships. What's a clever (but not cringeworthy) name for it?

Other options for the content include links to a featured dater, new books (previous examples include The Mystery Method and What Shamu Taught Me...), services (such as a professional profile rewriting service) and polls. So far, all I've got is "Love Bites". This brought out the response "uh, as in A HICKEY?" from one friend.

Bonus if the title/concept contains the word "happen". Thank you in advance for any wisdom you can impart!

Loverevolver

Because it is a near-palindrome, and can be broken down as 'Love revolver,' which evokes the cyclical and perennial nature of love relationships as well as the Russian Roulette quality I used to feel meeting someone new who interested me, or it can be 'Lover evolver,' which has overtones of the way love can raise a person to a higher plane and the way loving one person progresses almost by an evolutionary process, and overtones of something which can cause your ideal person to coalesce out of the mist.

hahaha, these are great, guys. I'm sending the ones I marked as best answer to be reviewed. I can't use "Make Love Happen" because that's the tagline for one of Match.com's advertising campaigns, but believe me, I thought about it!

And for my mast head image I would use a version or versions of Leonardo's Vitruvian Man, only with two people spread out on individual circles side by side, and the circles would have cogs on the outside, and the cogs of the two circles would mesh as if they were gears.

You could use whatever combinations of genders suited your target audiences, and I might go for a David Hockney -like modern version of Leonardo's original.

Heart wizard.
You know, like the chart wizard in excel? since you're doing date analysis and excel is for data analysis.
