My Granny needs an MD in DC

In need of a good geriatric md in washington metropolitan area!

My grandmother (96) has moved in with my parents and, imo, they don't know how to make her comfortable and address her considerable number of age-related ailments.

I'd like to get her in to see someone good- someone especially patient, caring, and respectful - as she is still quite sharp and needs a caregiver who will listen to her.

Her main complaints are related to arthritis and osteoporosis (aches from moderate to severe, and nerve pain) and also fairly frequent bouts of uncomfortable constipation, and apparently, according to her, a "terrible bloom of hemorrhoids" (sorry, had to share...) and other system failures of the non-fatal kind...

Please help. My parents mean well, but I don't think they understand that she could really use some top notch specialized care. thanks.

i would imagine that a major hospital, especially a teaching one, would have a geriatric division within its internal medicine department.
