How can I get a copy of the MacinTyre Report?

UK documentary t.v. filter.. Can anyone point me to a place where I can buy / rent / download / view a copy of Donal Macintyre's Report on Care homes??

I've googled, searched the BBC archives, the BBC shop, amazon, google, bit torrent etc etc, but with no luck. The series was called "The Macintyre report" and the particular one I'm looking for was an undercover report into a care home for those with learning disabilities. The place was called the "Brompton Care Home" and it was released (I think) in 2002.

Though there are lots of news reports on the outcome of the documentary, I can't find a link to the actual video anywhere. Nothing on YouTube, Bit Torrent or on MacIntyre's site.

Does anyone know where where I can get a copy?

Thanks in advance!

I believe the series was called 'MacIntyre Undercover'.

Heres is a German DVD

My GoogleFu has failed me in finding an English copy. You might try a torrent search engine armed with the name of the series.

I believe that if you ask nicely, the BBC will send you tapes of their programmes if you have a genuine educational need for them. Part of their public service broadcaster remit thingy... And a quick search bought up this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/archive/trial/open/faq.shtml#i

I also found this, which suggests that if you are wanting it for research purposes, you could try contacting the National film and tv archive.

According to his website, he has made three films on care homes. "MacIntyre Undercover" for the BBC in 1999 and a two part film for Channel 5 in 2004.

You could try contacting his agent or his press office - addresses here.

You could try contacting the BBC but experience of this varies wildly from immediately being sent free videos and DVDs to being told that "this isn't a library." Worth a try nonetheless.

Or try a local university library, if you know any students who could check it out for you.
