What is this TV show that licensed my music?

I just received a check from Pump Audio. I submitted my music to them a while back and, apparently, one of my tracks was used in a TV show. Woo-hoo! However, I can't find any information on the show it was used in. The information on the statement is as follows: Usage Description: Yearbook Episode 1998 Air Date: 6/11/2006 Ntwk/Pro: ABC I've Googled, to no avail. I can't even find any reference to a show of that name. Anyone have information or a suggestion of how where to look? Or, super-extra bonus points if you know how I can get a copy of it!

Seems silly to ask, but have you tried contacting "Pump Audio?"

Response by poster: Hey! What happened to my paragraphs? Well, I'll just retype the information from the statement so it's clear:

Usage Description: Yearbook Episode 1998
Air Date: 6/11/2006
Ntwk/Pro: ABC

Response by poster: rhizome -- Yes I have. They send out gigantic hard drives of music to clients rather than working with them individually to license tracks, so I'm not sure how it works, but I believe all the information they get is what they send me.

Know This Guy? He has music in the same show... Maybe he can help?

I am trying (without much luck) to use the Way Back Machine to access tv listings from 6/11/2006. But so far the obvious websites (TV Guide, Yahoo TV, etc) block robots so no archiving.

But maybe there are other TV guide websites that would be accessible via Way Back Machine?

I've googled myself out, but remember that ABC = Disney = ESPN so that might help...

I think I remember seeing this "Yearbook" show on digital cable. I'm pretty sure it was on Discovery Times. Is that an ABC affiliate?

Does ABC have any ties to Discovery Channel or History Channel? I could swear I've seen a few 'Yearbook 19XX' shows on one of these... My Google-fu also fails.

Here's the Fall 2006 TV schedule. Your airdate is on a Sunday, so depending on what kind of music you wrote that might give you a clue. Except that your show aired at the beginning of summer/rerun season, so you're probably dealing with a Summer season show prior to the Fall schedule since I'm assuming a rerun would have credited the first air-date. The good news? It doesn't look like it was a reality show based on the air-date.

There is an ABC in Australia, too...

Looks like it's Discovery Times show.

But Discovery Times is not owned by ABC or Disney.

(Again, based on the air-dates on the Summer schedule link [searching with the show name in quotes and ABC outside the quotes to find the episode guides,] it's not Less Than Perfect or Rodney. They both aired before your date.)

Aha. Not owned by ABC, but created by ABC News Productions (scroll down) for Discovery Times.

I am nearly sure this is the Discovery Times show. This Google Groups Link shows Yearbook 1998 airing on June 11, 2006.

On Preview: stefanie has the ABC Link.

Response by poster: You are all awesome. Thank you.

Now I just have to figure out how to get a copy of it! Anyone have a clue?

I happen to be talking to some ABC News folks this afternoon. No promises, but I'll see what I can find out.

If ABC can't get it to you then maybe you know someone at Nielsen - they have copies of nearly everything cause somebody always wants to know what advertisements were playing during show X.
